Dear Friends of Life:

Are you willing to give five minutes of your time to save a baby? Letters for Life has proven to be an effective way to reach and influence legislators. You can make an immediate positive impact in the struggle to save the unborn by investing five minutes from your own home and at your convenience. There are no meetings or dues. You need only supply one small piece of paper, an envelope, and a stamp. We make writing the letter very easy, as you will read below.

THE LETTERS FOR LIFE (LFL) METHOD IS SIMPLE, BUT VERY EFFECTIVE

Each month we pick an important topic which affects pro-life issues.

• We will not endorse candidates or political parties.
• We will not be involved with violence in any way.
• You are encouraged to suggest topics (we have used topics suggested by members).

• We use factual information only.
• We will have available references for facts and statistics.
• We provide the name and address of people to whom letters are sent.
• We will provide several phrases or sentences that can be used in a letter about the topic for that month.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO?

Make up a very brief letter using information we provide: you can copy one or two of the phrases we provide about the topic, either in your own words, or copy our sentence word for word. (Note, we usually give about ten different phrases to choose from. You pick just one because each is enough to get your message across.) You are free to make up your own letter entirely: we only offer suggestions for those who want help, We take the worry out of composing for those who are shy with words, short letters of one or two phrases are the best. No nasty letters. (We keep in line with the dignity of our cause.) There is no need to type letters: Hand written letters are most effective. You are free to use any type of stationary. Post cards are acceptable.

WHAT CAN BE EASIER?

Nothing is faster, easier, or more effective than Letters for Life.
